Answers to your questions!

Why should I choose CredentialedCARE?

CredentialedCARE has a rigorous program for qualifying home care professionals, companies and facilities.

Not only can you proudly advertise your home care agency’s and employees  as verified and carefully screened by an outside, unbiased source, you’ll have the right to display the “Seal of Distinction” on your print materials and website to prove it. Being awarded the CredentialedCARE “Seal of Distinction” puts your business in a class above, and gives prospective clients the confidence to choose you.

What health-related resources are people asking for that are not currently being delivered online?

A recent focus group revealed that there is an acute need for a local database of verified home health care professionals. Consumers need to be able to search out and access home health care providers’ details so they can determine the provider that’s right for them or their loved one.

On the provider side of home health care, providers needed a way to show prospective clients how qualified and reputable they are.

In both cases, CredentialedCARE fills the need.

How is CredentialedCARE different?

CCC is unlike any other online business in the long term care market. Our services will help consumers make informed choices for long term care in two important ways:

  1. With CredentialedCARE (CCC) we partner with Long Term Care providers to establish recognized standards of care, quality and transparency by certifying agencies, companies and facilities and the LTC workers they employ. This will help grow and improve their business, and
  2. With our CredentialedCARE Finder (CCF), we will provide a free consumer service that will offer unprecedented choice and awareness in Long-Term Care services.

Backing these great new services, CHCE will establish standards for data collection, decision-support tools and communication channels that will benefit all LTC stake-holders; including consumers & their families, providers, regulatory agencies, professional associations, academic & research institutions and policymakers.  With an explosion in demand for qualified LTC workers, CHCE is being established to serve the LTC industry at just the right time”

My home care agency is a small, local business. Are people really looking for local business on the internet?

Absolutely. People look for all sorts of local services on the internet. People know that the internet is the fastest way to find the information they’re looking for, whether worldwide or local.

I am an individual caregiver, can I become a member of CredentialedCARE?

Yes, you can have a profile just like the agencies and facilities and you will undergo a verification, pre-screening and credentialing check that differs only slightly from the type of check an agency or facility member will receive.

What does it cost to join CredentialedCARE?

See our fees schedule (currently under revision,  online soon…).

How will you ensure that users will not post comments about my agency that are untrue or malicious?

Patients and family may leave feedback about services provided to them or their loved one. All comments are reviewed and approved by CCF staff. Malicious comments are deleted when appropriate. Agencies may also leave comments refuting any incorrect claims. CCF will supply guidelines for feedback and complaints that will include maintaining the privacy of employees and patients. CCF will always recommend that negative feedback that may qualify as a complaint be settled between parties by email or phone. CCF will have guidelines in place that will need to be met before a  complaint goes any further. If you believe a feedback comment should be removed from your profile, contact us with a summary of your reasons for having the comment removed and we will investigate the claim.

FAQ Regarding Site Content

What does the verification and credentialing consist of?

CCC verification consists of investigating various criteria related to the home health professional’s identity, background, experience, licensing and insurance/bonding status. CCCs profile data is updated regularly and the member must meet the criteria annually

Where does CCC get its information on home care agencies?

We query publicly available databases for our data. We also use our own proprietary statistical models, publicly available data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. We constantly search for relevant home health data and regularly update our database.

What is an accrediting organization?

According to Wikipedia, accreditation is a process in which certification of competency, authority, or credibility is presented. HHI looks favorably upon home care organizations and facilities that are accredited versus being simply certified  or licensed by federal or state authorities.
